FRIDAY ACTIVITY REPORT- Class PreNursery to Class I AUGUST 2011

Class – PRE-NURSERY
Children of Pre-nursery celebrated the Independence Day by having a party on August 13, 2011. Kids who had come dressed in Indian traditional dress, enjoyed activities like tattoo making and preparing tri-colour sandwich in the class. However, the highlight of the day was the ‘Kite Flying’ which the tiny tots were thrilled to see.

Class – NURSERY         CARD MAKING
The seeds that the nursery children sowed last week had now sprouted to seedlings . The children were thrilled to see the results of their hard work in the field. Once back to the class, they made cards carrying a message on how to care for plants.

AAs Independence Day was approaching, the students discussed about the same. They were told what is meant by Independence Day and why it is celebrated. The teachers also told them how our freedom fighters had fought to free our country against foreign rule. This was followed by coloring of worksheets with pictures of freedom fighters on it. Just for fun, the students were given a tattoo of the Indian Flag on their cheeks. This was a very busy and eventful day full of loads of fun.

–PHOTO-FRAME MAKING/strong>
Our tiny –tots were thrilled to see the kites and ribbons being prepared by the teachers. They couldn’t wait to get their hands on them. As the white paper-kites were given to the students, they colored them in the tri-colors and pasted their photographs on the white middle section. The teachers put ribbons for the children again in tri-color. And our lovely kite-shaped photo frames were ready!!

A very exciting activity of Rakhi making was conducted in class K.G., which gave students the opportunity to know about Rakhi festival. They were also told that the festival is about the great devotion and the affectionate bond between brothers and sisters.

-FLUTE DECORATION
A very beautiful craft activity was done by students of K.G on 12th August for the Janmashtmi occasion. They decorated flute with the help of colored tape and bright stars.

Class – CLASS I       TRICOLOUR HEADGEAR
To include the feelings of patriotism in our tiny tots, tricolor head gears were made by students of class I with the help of their teachers. Children were given rectangular shaped cutouts of saffron and green colour. They pasted these cutouts on a white sheet and wore these head gears on their heads.
