Enthusia-Annual Sports Day

The school play ground of K.R. Mangalam World School, Gurugram was filled with great zest and excitement on 25th February 2017 as the school celebrated its much awaited Annual Sports Meet 2017 – ‘Enthusia’. Almost 1000 students from the Junior wing participated in the event. The fantastic turnout from the parents and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students.The chief guests Mr. Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, Deputy Inspector General at National Investigation Agency and the Guest of Honour , Mr. Paras Ram, District Sports and Youth Officer, Gurugram graced the occasion with their presence. Mr. Gursharan Singh, Former Indian Cricketer was also the special guest for the day. The guests raised the KRM school flag signaling the start of the Sports Meet.The oath was led by the Principal Ms. Priya Arora and the students solemnly pledged to uphold the spirit of true sportsmanship. The Principal and the guests took the salute of the impressive March Past of the Student’s Council and in house KRM Band. A sprightly aerobics drill, an energizing exercise drill, Gymnastics, Taekwondo and Yoga and Toy Band set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheers and applauds for the young athletes. Special races were organised for the parents, teachers and the house keeping staff, which added fun and frolic to the event.The day ended with our guests congratulating the winners with medals and certificates. Apart from commemorating victories, sports meets also aimed at imparting lessons on sportsman spirit and camaraderie to children.
