14th November, 2011 was a day full of wonderful surprises for the children as we celebrated Children’s Day with great zeal and zest. Right from the beginning, there was a feeling of joy and gaiety all around. Bal Mela was organized with a host of activities like Train ride, Merry-go-round, boat swings, bouncy and many more. Children joined their teachers to prepare tongue-tantalizing dishes and sweets ranging from Chaat Papri to Chana Kulchas to Chocolate Cake.
Some students also prepared for game stalls. All the students decorated their stalls beautifully. Our Principal Ma’am visited all the stalls and tried various dishes and games. She applauded all the students for their efforts. One of the students of class VII said “We are enjoying thoroughly. We have not seen such a Bal Mela in our previous school”. Another student from Class VI said, “We look forward to coming to school rather than staying at home”. A student from Class VIII remarked,”Our school organizes such wonderful programmes for us every now and then”.
The entire school was involved in the celebrations and the premise was resplendent with beaming smiles and cheers. The day ended and children were served Burgers and juices. The day concluded with return gifts which fascinated the little ones even more. Lastly, there was a lucky draw for all the classes respectively.
