Visits – Pre Nursery
November 2011
Visit to Kegg’s Farm

The children of pre nursery went on a visit to the Kegg’s farm on 22nd Nov, 2011. The visit was a variant experience for them and they were so surprised and excited to see, touch and hold the one day old chicks. They also named a few chicks with their own name. The greenery in the farm was so pleasant, especially as it was a sunny November morning. They also got to see cows, goats, sheep, geese, parakeets and dogs. It was an out of ordinary visit which they really enjoyed and were discussing about it on their way back too.

Visit to Gurudwara

The children of pre nursery went on a visit to the ‘Gurudwara’. It was a pleasant spiritual experience for them. It was an opportunity for them to see and understand the rituals. They were involved in a small Prayer, Mool Mantar recitation and Ardas conducted by the ‘Head Granthi’ of Gurudwara Sahib, in which all of the children diligently participated with enthusiasm. He also explained about Guru Nanak Jayanthi. The children were delighted to receive the Prasad and the chocolates. It was a well desired visit for both teachers and children and the kids are looking forward to more fun trips with their peers.

                                                                     26th AUGUST, 2011

Students of K.G. - IV went to the ultimate entertainment and leisure destination, the magnificent Kingdom of Dreams. The fabulous, Cultural Gully, is a kaleidoscope of India’s unique cultural diversity that offers a unique Indian experience of 14 states pavilion, themed restaurants, live performing art and craft village. Children had a blast of fun there and their imagination went wild with the sand pit.

                                                                     26th AUGUST, 2011

One of the great benefits of educational tours is bringing the curriculum to life. Keeping this in mind, an educational tour to historical monument Qutub Minar was organized for students of class VIII and IX on August 26, 2011.
Constructed by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, standing tall in red and buff sandstone Qutub Minar- the highest tower in India left the students spell bound with its 72.5 metres height and carved magnificence. Students also had a look at Ashok Pillar which is one of the world’s foremost metallurgical curiostics. Students were high in spirits all the way while going. Students carried them with strong images from Indo-Islamic piece of architecture so that they relate it to their studies.

                                                        REPORT ON VISIT TO AIR FORCE MUSEUM

On Friday, 5th of August, students of class I and II had a glimpse of our proud moments. They visited The Air Force Museum. First, our students saluted the wall of martyrs and some awesome sculptures of our Indian heroes. Then they saw some of the fighter planes. There was a huge statue of our India fighter honored with PARAM VEER CHAKRA and also saw some more photographs of our daredevil fighters. It certainly raised their spirits and love for their country.

A VISIT TO HALDIRAM FOR CLASSES PRE-NURSERY & NURSERY

Here in K. R.Mangalam south city-I Gurgaon, Fun, Frolic and Enthusiasm never stops. After being acquainted with school, teachers and friends our little ones went to Haldiram (Jaipur National Highway) on 15th April for a memorable learning experience and fun filled day out.

MAY VISIT TO THE FIRE STATION

The students of classes I, II and III went for a visit to the fire station on Thursday, 6th May 2010. It was an enriching experience for the students as they got to see and understand about various instruments used in putting out fire. They were also shown the personal protective equipment used by fireman during a fire fight. The children enjoyed the demonstration of water splash.

 
Classes I and II VISIT TO SRS MALL
Students from classes I and II visited the SRS mall on 8th Oct. 2010, accompanied by their respective teachers. The little ones enjoyed a different type of experience at the mall this time, as the trip was not only adventurous but educational. First, the children were taken to the fruits and vegetable section where the advantages of each one of them were explained to them. Post that, a contrast between the disadvantages of junk food like chips and coke and healthy food like fresh fruits and vegetables was created to develop healthy eating habits among the children.
Finally, the children enjoyed a shopping experience by spending not more than Rs. 20. To spend the amount of RS. 20 in a judicious manner was a challenge for them, however, they managed very well by buying small little things like biscuits, juices etc. The children paid for themselves at the counters and collected their bills.
It was a fun filled visit with a learning experience.
NURSERY to VII VISIT TO TEMPLE
The children of K. R. Mangalam World School celebrated the holy month of ‘Saawan’ by visiting a nearby temple. The children sought blessings of the Almighty with folded hands and chanted the ‘Gayatri Mantra’. All of them took the Prashad and came back to school. This way the children were brought closer to their culture and heritage.
PRE - NURSERY VISIT TO THE GROCERY STORE
The Pre-Nursery Wing went for a visit to the SRS store in the Omaxe Mall at Sohna Road, Gurgaon. Children were shown around different sections. They showed keen interest while going through the toiletries section, pointing at different brands of soaps, shampoos and toothpastes. They spent a lot of time in the vegetables section where they enjoyed touching various fruits and vegetables and telling their names and colours as well. The visit was rounded off by the children making their own purchases of a chocolate each and getting their bills individually.
NURSERY and KG VISIT TO GURUDWARA

Visit to Parle-G factory
We, at K R Mangalam, believe in the educational value of a well- planned visit and are a firm supporter of outdoor education. Keeping this in mind, a trip was organized on 21st Oct ’10, to one of the most renowned biscuit manufacturers, Parle-G in Neemrana. The students from classes III to VII visited the factory accompanied by their teachers. The journey was long but it turned out to be a roaring success as the students were thrilled to see the life cycle of a biscuit- right from the dough stage to the finished packaged product.
Followed by that, they were shown a short video based on the manufacturing of biscuits and candies passing through different channels.
The children had great fun. It was a highly successful and educational initiative taken up by the school authorities.
Children Views
What a wonderful experience it was to go to the Parle G factory. We learnt the difference between toffees and candies . We saw the machines through a gallery. We saw a movie and noted down the recipes of toffees, candies and biscuits. We even got packets of biscuits which were fresh and cold.

The trip to Parle – G factory was a wonderful experience. It was a very joyful and educative trip. We went back home happy and with a lot of facts about Parle –G factory and its products.
