Class – Nursery

Party Etiquettes -The Children identified with the topic. It was an interactive session where the children participated enthusiastically. It is a very relevant topic for the children as they often attend parties. They are expected to behave properly but are often not given guidance about it.

Class – K.G
Puppet activity – The workshop was conducted by KG teachers. They made colourful and interesting puppet of Mickey Mouse and Pooh using ice-cream stick and coloured paper.

 

Class – I
Social Graces & Personality Development - workshop was conducted successfully by Ms. Runa Nanda, Anita Bhattacharjee, Anuradha and Ritu Wasan on 2nd July’10. Children were explained how social graces are important in all aspects of life from play ground to class room to the workplace. The aim of conducting this workshop was to help students establish a positive relationship with one another and to develop decency and decorum. Since social graces are lifelong survival skills, it would help in instilling good values like kindness and consideration which are building blocks of good manners.

Class – II
Origami Workshop - was conducted for class II by Ms. Pooja Mohla, and Shilpa Awasthi on 2nd July’10. The workshop started with the introduction of Origami as an ancient unique paper folding art which originated in Japan in the 17 century. Children had great fun discovering new things. It was like magic where just by folding the origami paper they could make various things like slim boat, Twin boat, butterfly and star fish. It was enthralling and interesting workshop for them.

Class – III
Salad Making Workshop - was conducted by Ms. Bhavana & Priyanka on 2nd July’10. The main aim of this workshop was to create awareness among children regarding the importance of salad in our daily diet. Children were taught how to make salads interesting and tempting. The nutrients provided by salads were explained to them. Children came to know that there’s a large variety of salads and they can be only part of the meal or a wholesome meal. They realized that salads are not always boring but interesting and tasty too. They made yummy ice cream fruit salad.

Class – IV

 Clay Modeling Workshop - was conducted by Ms. Bela Verma & Mr. Jitender on 2nd July’10. Theme was “stringing the beads”. Children made beautiful necklace, amazing keychain and wonderful bracelet for their parents. Little artists had their first hands on experience with the clay. They were excited and overwhelmed throughout the workshop. Cute little queries were taken up by the facilitator. It turned out to be a fruitful workshop.

Class –V
          Kitchen Gardening Workshop -  was organized on 2nd July 10 by Ms. Santosh Dhiman and Saniya Puri. Our Little gardeners had great time digging, leveling and preparing the land. They enjoyed sowing vegetables and flowers seed. To introduce the concept of simple knowledge of the garden and the cycle of growth that we seem to have overlooked in our busy lifestyles was the main aim of this workshop. Children were told about five seasons and different fruits, vegetables and flowers which could be grown during these seasons.

Class –VI
Rangoli Workshop – was conducted by Ms. Shefali and Priyaa Chauhan on 2nd July’10 for Class VI. Children made wonderful rangoli by making beautiful designs. Children were taught how to fill different colours in Rangoli. While making Rangoli in groups, they realized the importance of unity and to accomplish their task fast and easily.

Class –VII
Vedic Maths Workshop - A workshop on Vedic Maths was organized on 2nd July’10 by Ms. Ruchika Shabi and Pooja Yadav. Students showed enthusiasm for Ancient Indian calculations. They learnt and enjoyed the methods used in ancient times. Overall it was a very unique and different workshop.
